How many times have you heard someone say, "I just work here"? Maybe you’ve said it yourself.
There is a major difference between a good follower and a great follower. A good follower plays it safe and only does what is asked of them. They clock in on time, they leave when it’s time to go, and they accomplish their work. They are good, but they aren’t great.
But if you want the corner office while you’re sitting in a cubicle, you have to go beyond the call of duty. You have to be willing to get into conversations that seem like you have no business being in.
Every teacher started as a student, and if we’re being real, every great teacher is still a student. If you aren't willing to go the extra mile for anyone else, are you even willing to do it for yourself?
