Your Creator has entrusted you with unique and beautiful gifts.
Yet, amidst the world's loudness, it can be challenging to discern the gentle whispers of Your Creator.
Moreover, it's common to expect your gifts to be outwardly visible, but often, they are not perceived through the senses.
Your gift is transparent, allowing you to perceive others more vividly. It enables you to recognize your neighbor's gifts and potential as a mirror for your reflection.
So, seeing others explore their gifts ignites in you the necessary elements to fully embrace yours.
As you surround yourself with people who support you and nourish your vision, you hear the soft whisper of your Creator, indicating that you're closer than you think.
As a Pastor and Personal Growth Strategist, I know the many walls we can often build due to life's challenges.
I invite you to join me in prayerfully planning what this next phase will look like for you.
Let's pray that the world goes silent and you can hear the soft whisper of your Creator, allowing you to gain clarity for the journey ahead.
Read the following scriptures and consider their implications as you prayerfully plan your next steps.
Scripture: Proverbs 16:3 CSB
”Commit your activities to the LORD, and your plans will be established.”
Implication: This text displays a promise of the LORD that when we submit to him our plans and strategies, He ensures our success. Embedded in this assurance is the peace that only He can offer so that while we navigate uncharted territories and expand beyond our comfort zone, we can trust He’s protected us.
Scripture: James 4:13-15 CSB
[13] Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will travel to such and such a city and spend a year there and do business and make a profit."
[14] Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring-what your life will be! For you are like vapor that appears for a little while, then vanishes.
[15] Instead, you should say, "If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that."
Implication: This text is not condemning planning for the future. Instead, it urges us to plan prayerfully as we do not know what tomorrow will bring. Furthermore, it underscores the uncertainty of life and the importance of acknowledging the LORD's sovereignty in our plans.
Scripture: Proverbs 19:21 CSB
”Many plans are in a person's heart, but the LORD's decree will prevail.”
Implication: This text calls us to observe the contrast between human plans and the LORD’s sovereign will. We are called to listen for the soft whisper of the Creator and to collaborate with Him in trust, prayer, hope, and effort. This is because prayerful planning calls us to align our desires and intentions with the LORD’s purposes.
As you navigate the remainder of your week, month, or year, you’ll find a constant fight to listen for the soft whisper of the Creator. Elijah's desire to hear the soft whisper and find solace drove him to a cave. In that cave, the LORD asked him the same thing He asks us when we attempt to handle things on our own: “What are you doing here?” (cf. 1 Kings 19:9). Your position will determine your perspective, so I pray that you stand on the word of the LORD, trust His promises for your life, prayerfully plan, and constantly listen for the soft whisper of your Creator.
